Belleville Man, 22, Struck And Killed On FDR Drive, NYPD Says

A 22-year-old man from Belleville was struck and killed on Manhattan’s FDR Drive just before midnight on Wednesday, November 26, according to the NYPD.

Police identified the victim as Justin Siguencia, 22, of Belleville, New Jersey. Investigators say Siguencia was lying in the northbound lanes of FDR Drive near East 105th Street when he was hit.

According to an NYPD statement, a 2026 Honda Odyssey van traveling north on FDR Drive struck Siguencia, followed moments later by a 2016 Mini Cooper sedan, which also hit him in the roadway.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and pronounced Siguencia dead at the scene, police said.

The NYPD said the 35-year-old man driving the Honda and the 45-year-old woman driving the Mini Cooper both remained at the scene and were not injured. As of the most recent police update, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

FDR Drive is a busy, limited-access parkway that runs along the East River on Manhattan’s east side, carrying heavy traffic from Lower Manhattan up to East Harlem and the 125th Street area.
